Sydney Festival is calling out for performers!!
Sydney Festival is coming to Parramatta this year, Jan 13 – 22.
There is a huge program of free events including POP – Parramatta Opening Party on January 14th. Alfred Park, opposite ICE will be home to a Spiegeltent, and the surrounding streets will be taken over by performances of Holly Throsby, big bands, soulful singers, top DJs and street theatre spectaculars. There will be gypsy carnival fun at the Old Kings School, kids workshops, circus fun PLUS, yes there’s more – Notting Hill Carnival DJ, Norman Jay, parks his iconic double-decker bus in Eat Street for a marathon seven hour set of feel good summer tunes, creating an all-ages street party in the heart of Parramatta.
ICE is joining the party on the 14th and beyond by opening up Switch Digital Arts Centre for you to come, play, experiment and enjoy music showcases, video projections, get hands on in our media centre where you can use our computers to touch base with your friends and generally chill out and take in the cultural and digital arts expeience!
