Access and Amenities

Public Transport

  • Approximately 15 minutes walk down Church Street from Parramatta Station and Bus Interchange, as well as from Parramatta Ferry Wharf
  • Trains (T1 Western Line, T5 Cumberland Line NSW Trainlink Blue Mountains Line, Central West XPT and Outback Xplorer) run to Parramatta Station and the Bus Interchange
  • Bus routes (T61, M54, M52) run from Parramatta station and stop near Church Street and Victoria Road intersection
  • Free Shuttle Bus 900 departs from Macquarie Street and stops at Church Street North and Prince Alfred Park on Church Street

Cars and Motorbikes

  • I.C.E. does not have on-site parking
  • On-street, paid parking is available along Villiers Street (4P, 8am to 6pm Monday – Saturday)
  • The Fennell Street Car Park is located a 5 minute walk from I.C.E. on the corner of Fennell and Villiers Streets ($9 all-day parking)
  • Drivers with a Mobility Parking Scheme card displayed are entitled to park in a metered/ticketed area at no charge

General

  • Single-stall bathrooms with sanitary bins are available, along with an accessible bathroom, which includes change-table facilities and an accessible shower
  • Assistance animals are welcome
  • Rooms are heated and air-conditioned, except for the Event Space

Child Friendly

  • I.C.E. is child-friendly and we endeavour to keep the rooms and spaces safe for people of all ages
  • If you wish to discuss safety precautions required for your hire please contact info@ice.org.au
  • Change table facilities are available in the accessible bathroom located on the ground floor

Wheelchair Users

  • The front door is located at the top of a slight ramp. It is automatic and opens outwards
  • Intercom is located at the front door for after-hours access at a height suitable for wheelchair users (please note that after ringing intercom, guest must move back to allow door to open)
  • Accessible bathroom is located on the ground floor
  • Ground floor is flat and accessible to wheelchair users
  • 1st and 2nd floors can be accessed via elevator. Please note that the elevator button must be held down to travel up to the 1st and 2nd floors
  • Sofa and folding chairs are available

People with severe allergies or who are immunocompromised

  • Air-conditioning is installed in all of the spaces except for the Event Space
  • Doors at the back of the building can be opened to allow fresh air to circulate
  • A large number of people and groups use I.C.E. at any given time and the Kitchen Area is a shared space

Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and sound sensitive people

  • Specific software enquiries can be directed to it@ice.org.au
  • I.C.E. can be loud at times and noise does carry throughout the building
  • We do not have induction loop systems in the venue

Food and Dietary

  • Food must be provided by the hirer. I.C.E. can provide local recommendations for catering upon request
  • The Kitchen Area is a shared space and all groups are responsible for safe and hygienic preparation and clean up
  • Alcohol is not permitted onsite except when the hirer provides staff with a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
  • I.C.E is a smoke-free venue and complies with the NSW Smoke-Free Environment Act 2000 and the Smoke-free Environment Regulation 2016

First Aid

  • First Aid Kits are located around I.C.E. and are indicated by a large green medical sign
