2010 Arab Film Festival

Koori Stories Showcase

» This dynamic event will showcase the stories of young Koori people living in the Penrith region. A series of creative digital works will be exhibited and screened including photography, video clips and vox pops. This free event will be held on Saturday 5 June, 1pm at Cranebrook Neighbourhood Centre. More »

Words from the West

» On Sunday May 16, Riverside Theatres Parramatta hosted Hip Hop Projections 5 as part of the 2010 Sydney Writers’ Festival. Presented by ICE, the show entertained audiences of all-ages and cultural backgrounds with a diverse cultural display of hip-hop rhymes and dance. More »

Announcing: Hip-Hop Projections 5

» Hip-hop Projections returns for one night only on 16 May at Riverside Theatres, Parramatta. From August 5-19 INDIE GEMS – A festival of Fresh Aussie Films will be held at Riverside Theatres Parramatta. Highlights include a special screening of Digital Stories compiled by ICE and produced by young people in Western Sydney. Straight after, there is a free AFI filmmakers forum. MAYU LAUNCHES DEBUT ALBUM

Create Media! Participant Mayu Ganeshan launches his debut album, ’Aappam’ – a collection of hip-hop, dance and rock music tracks infused with Tamil film ballads. Mayu is a multi-talented musician composing music, playing the keyboard and guitar, as well as writing the lyrics and vocals on his tracks. More »

A Tribute to 2Kay

Through his music Khaldoon Khalilli aka 2Kay, told tales of his life experiences in a quirky, sometimes comedic style. Trey Thomas, the Coordinator of ICE’s Urban Music Program described him as “one of the most talented writers I have ever worked with.” More »

ICE's first charity auction an outstanding success

Staff at ICE have been blown away by the incredible support from the Project 5 Charity Art Auction which was held in Sydney on 20 May. The auction raised a whopping $10,000 for ICE’s arts programs for young people and disadvantaged communities in Western Sydney. The auction was organised by the Project 5 partners aMBUSH Gallery, Cockle Bay Wharf and Jones Lang LaSalle, with support from Bay East Auctions. More »
