Websites That Click
In April 2005, ICE coordinated Websites That Click, a series of website development workshops held at Switch Multimedia and Digital Arts Access Centre in Granville. The workshops aimed to increase the IT skills and infrastructure of community organisations in Parramatta, giving them web presence and enhancing their avenues of communication with communities.
The facilitator of Websites That Click worked with four organisations in Parramatta Local Government Area: Wargon and Burra Aboriginal Project, Dundas Area Neighbourhood Centre, Council for Australian Palestinians Youth Group and the Pacific Islander Council- Fijian Youth Initiative. The workers learned how to develop a simple and easy-to-use website to highlight their organisation’s projects and activities.
The project was facilitated by MediaLoft and managed by the ICE Community Information Technology Program and funded by the Parramatta Council’s Community Development program. For more information, contact communityinfo@ice.org.au.
