Embarking on its first foray into creative industry training, ICE’s Switch Academy came about due to the lack of accessible, innovative training in new media and digital arts in Western Sydney. Time and time again through its professional development projects like Originate and Artfiles, ICE has identified the need for artists, CCD workers and others wanting to update their skills and qualifications in Western Sydney to undergo first-rate training in a convenient location, right at their doorstep.
Using industry standard software and state of the art equipment, this course will be held at Switch Multimedia and Digital Arts Access Centre, Granville.
This Final Cut Pro Digital Video Editing Course is the first course being offered through the Switch Academy, and couldn’t take place without the partnership with locally based Registered Training Organisation, The Parramatta College.
EDIT YOUR OWN SHORT FILM / DOCUMENTARY / MUSIC VIDEO on industry standard video editing software.
*Final Cut Pro* is a complete professional video-editing and compositing program used in homes as well as to edit feature films in our cinema today.
Learn the basic principles of editing and visual storytelling using Final Cut Pro. Use your own footage, whether you’ve shot your own short drama, comedy, horror film, or have material for a documentary, music video or family history and make it into a professional-quality, short visual piece you can keep for time immemorial.
Learn from highly-respected video trainer Martha Mollison, author of the ‘bible’ of video-making Producing Videos: A Complete Guide, (published by AFTRS and Allen & Unwin) and winner of the 2003 The Australian Awards for Excellence in Educational Publishing.
