The Australian DigiTales project was launched at Campbelltown Arts Centre on January 25. Those present were the first to see the collection of unique local tales made by Sydney’s emerging media talent.
In January 2008, award-winning UK youth film organisation Hi8us began their partnership with ICE and the British Council to bring their global digital storytelling project DigiTales to Australia.
Hi8us worked with a group of young people from Western Sydney to make digital stories about their lives. The project was recently featured in The Sydney Morning Herald. You can check out their take of the Digi-Tales project by clicking HERE
You can now watch films from DigiTales Australia on the ICE website.
Soon they will also be published on www.digi-tales.org alongside stories from Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Slovakia and the UK.
DigiTales is a project of ICE, the British Council and Hi8us.
