Introducing: Pacific Specific
Young people from Pacific Islander backgrounds are invited to tell their stories and explore their culture through music and film these school holidays.
The free hip-hop music and digital storytelling workshops will be run from October 6th to 16th, Tuesday to Friday at Auburn Community Development Network. The workshops will be run by ARIA nominated hip-hop artist, MC Trey.
Pacific Specific workshop participants will learn lyric-writing, rapping, script-writing, music recording, production, filmmaking and photography. At the end of the course, all participants will have produced their own songs and mini-film and / or music clip. Participants will also have the opportunity to showcase their work online and perform at various events and festivals.
