Announcing: Duets Volume 1
» Duets Volume 1 – the 6th release on ICE’s Suburban Grooves record label – will be launched at Melt (Kings Cross) from 8pm on November 27. The CD features collaborations between young emerging artists from Western Sydney and established acts including Maya Jupiter, Ozi Batla, MC Trey, MCNay and more. Duets Volume 1 will be available on iTunes from November 28 and in stores from December 5. More »
Koori Youth Yarn Up Launch
» Come along to this intimate showcase of the voices and stories of the young Koori people living in Western Sydney. Six digital stories (mini-films) and a specially created ‘behind-the-scenes’ clip will be showcased at the Koori Youth Yarn Up launch on Saturday 28 November, 1pm at Cranebrook Neighbourhood Centre. CHICK FLICKS Launch!
» On November 14 ICE is holding a launch and exhibition to showcase the films created as part of the CHICK FLICKS project. The launch, to be opened by Hawkesbury Councillor Mayor Bart Bassett, starts at 1pm at the Hawkesbury Regional Gallery in Windsor. Come along and meet the first time filmmakers as they screen their mini films. More »
Arab Film Festival in Brisbane and Adelaide
After successful screenings in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra the Arab Film Festival continues it’s National tour this November with upcoming dates in Brisbane (20, 21, 22 November) and Adelaide (28, 29 November). Chick Flicks Launched at Hawkesbury Regional Gallery
On November 14 ICE held a launch and exhibition to showcase the films created as part of the CHICK FLICKS project. The launch, opened by Hawkesbury Councillor Mayor Bart Bassett, was held at the Hawkesbury Regional Gallery in Windsor. ICE Board Member Susan Gibbeson also spoke at the launch. Raising Kids Together wins Award
The Raising Kids Together DVD, produced by ICE, has won the NSW Department of Ageing, Disability and Homecare the prestigious Government Award at the National Multicultural Marketing Awards. ICE congratulates DADHC and Producer Barry Gamba on this fantastic achievement. More »
TropWest winner gets ready for Tropfest!
On October 17 around 100 screen content creators attended TropWest in Parramatta. This year George Basha (The Combination), Kris Wyld (East West 101) and Ranko Markovic (Cedar Boys) were among 15 advisers willing to donate their time. Markovic’s production company, Templar Films, stepped up to mentor this year’s TropWest Scholarship winner, 19 year old UTS student Roxie Vuong from Fairfield. More »
