Shifa: Agents of Change II
Fourteen Arabic young men from across South-West Sydney have been participating in a 12-week TAFE-accredited video training program.
Recently ICE began the second phase of the Agents of Change course in partnership with South Western Sydney Institute of TAFE – Outreach Unit, Granville.
During this second phase of the project, workshop participants have taken professional acting lessons and learnt all aspects of video and filmmaking, from scriptwriting to editing. The young men have almost completed a short film, to be launched later this year, and will attend a leadership camp towards the end of the year.
In the future ICE hopes to develop a third stage of the project, including a feature-length film.
