Kate Taylor — Creative Hub Coordinator
KATE TAYLOR graduated from University of New South Wales in 2007 with a BA (Media and Communications). She dived headfirst into corporate media strategy but soon the Warholian party girl in her took over and Kate began making films and curating events for Punk Monk Propaganda. Before coming to ICE, Kate was the Network Event and E-learning and Innovation Coordinator for Metro Screen. Kate falls into the most universally hated dietary persuasion – pescetarian. For some reason she feels somewhat affiliated with her fellow land animals, which angers carnivores, but is totally comfortable chowing down on balmain bugs and anything else that lives underwater, which incenses her vegan friends. This may or may not have anything to do with her earliest cinematic memory being Ursula rising up threateningly over the red seats in a screening of The Little Mermaid. Contrary to rumours that Kate was raised by circusfolk (her hula hooping hips are just a freak coincidence), she grew up in Minto and is passionate about creating opportunities for artists and cultural producers in Western Sydney.
