Linda is a NIDA graduate who worked in theatre, film, TV and radio, both in Australia and overseas, for more than 20 years. She took on the role of speechwriter to the Lord Mayor of Sydney in the lead up to, and during, the Sydney Olympics, as well as managing the City of Sydney’s civic events, including citizenship ceremonies and ticker-tape parades. Linda moved into the non-profit sector in 2006, working for the Taronga Foundation, where, among other things, she implemented a highly successful Artists in Residence program. She then moved to Documentary Australia Foundation as Director of Development, and currently works three days a week at St Vincent’s Curran Foundation. Linda sees narrative as the central thread to her career, and believes in the power of storytelling to unite humanity and help us make sense of the world.
Linda is working with the I.C.E team to help grow private and community support to continue the organisation’s work connecting the communities of Western Sydney with creativity.
