Reel Words

ICE is running FREE hip-hop music and digital storytelling workshops for young men (14-26) from Pacific and Aboriginal backgrounds. They will learn how to make beats, write lyrics, record songs and create their own digital story from established Australian hip-hop artists and filmmakers.

Twin Worlds Digital Storytelling Workshop

Twin Worlds is a community arts project to promote inter-generational harmony within Sri Lankan Tamil refugees and Tamil migrants in the Western Sydney region. It is a collaboration between the Boronia Multi Cultural Services and artist Jiva Parthipan, who contracted ICE to disseminate a one week training session in Digital Storytelling.

Free workshops for emerging Cinematographers, Editors, Set Designers, Make-up Artists and Actors run at Switch over 3 weekends, the workshops incorporated practical workshops with experienced trainers and then participants formed small production teams to make three Short Films, accompanied by a director.

African Parenting Stories

This heartfelt community-media project curated extraordinary stories of family, place and identity of African-Australians in transition.

Koori Story Exchange

The Koori Story Exchange project engaged over 35 young Aboriginal people from Cranebrook, near Penrith in digital storytelling and hip-hop music production workshops over a series of months this year.

ICE Receives Core Support From

ICE receives core support from Australia Council for the Arts, Arts NSW, Screen NSW and Department of Community Services – Human Services. This project utilises the facilities of Switch Digital Arts Centre – a partnership with Parramatta City Council.
