All Girl Electronic | 7 Questions with Stephanie Barahona
ALL GIRL ELECTRONIC 2017 is drawing to a close and we’re ending on a high note as we present the emerging producers of the 2017 program at End of an AGE.
We asked the crew 7 questions so you can get to know a bit about them and their music, below are Stephanie’s answers.
7 Questions with Stephanie Barahona
- Where is your hood?
I hail from the bustling, ex-colonial town known as Liverpool, located in South-west Sydney. Born and bred. It’s a very multicultural place so I had the unique privilege of experiencing other cultures as I was growing up. Or rather, the unique experience of being a minority in a minority-majority city.
- What is your age?
- Who is your favourite music producer right now?
My favourite music producer right now would have to be Sofie Loizou! Her sounds are amazing and have a very unique storytelling quality about them
- If you could pick a theme song for your life what would it be?
This is a tough one! I generally tend to have multiple themes throughout my life, depending on how I feel a certain day, week or, month. In saying that, the current theme song of my life would have to be Ripple by the Grateful Dead.
- What is the hardest part about making music?
The hardest, but best part about making music would have to be wrapping your head around the idea of being able to have the chance to create music purely because music is such a precious thing. I feel very fortunate!
Then of course then comes the general anxiety, but good anxiety that comes with creating music. Especially, music that resonates with someone out there.
- What is the best part about making music?
Everything listed above in question 5.
- Describe your music in three words
I can only describe it in two: Accidental experimental.
You can catch Stephanie and the rest of the All Girl Electronic crew at the free, all-ages event, End of an AGE on December 2 at ICE. RSVP here: https://allgirlelectronic.floktu.com/
