The first Tots to the Gallery trip for 2018

Tots to the Gallery is a Family Creative Hub initiative that takes Mums and their young children on excursions to the Art Gallery of NSW. Family Creative Hub producer, Eddie Abd, recounts the first trip to the gallery for 2018.
It’s always a fun experience going to the Art Gallery of NSW, especially on a weekday when it’s a little less busy!
This time we started our journey from Granville. After making sure all were aboard (including prams), we whiz by the inner western suburbs of Sydney, and talk about the housing crisis, the coloured roofs of Newtown, our kids growing opinions by the second and the best butcher in Granville (and why).
We arrive and are warmly welcomed by Victoria from the AGNSW who treats us to a guided tour where we explore, make and play .
After the tour, we picnic in the Domain then head back to Granville.
This was our first trip for 2018 as part of our Tots to the Gallery! program, and it was exciting, stimulating and enjoyable for the mums, kids, aunties and facilitators.
We are certainly looking forward to more.
