New works from poet Omar Sakr explore themes of hope and despair in 2021

Writer Omar Sakr, one of Australia’s foremost public thinkers, and the first Arab-Australian Muslim to win the prestigious Prime Minister’s Literary Award (2020), has written two original poems for Information and Cultural Exchange (I.C.E.). The new works, Masks Off and Stay Safe, offer profound insights about the impact of COVID-19 in 2021.
