Our first post-lockdown event will be presented in partnership with our wonderful colleagues, Sweatshop. At 2 pm on Saturday December 4, David Unaipon Award-winning poet Jazz Money will be in conversation with Sara M. Saleh, Arab-Australian human rights activist and also an award-winning poet. They will be talking about Money’s first published collection, how to make a basket, which examines the tensions of living in the Australian colony today. By turns scathing, funny and lyrical, Money uses her poetry as an extension of protest against the violence of the colonial state, and as a celebration of Blak and queer love. This event, which includes afternoon tea, is FREE but bookings are essential. Don’t miss it!
