Claudia Roosen is an arts worker with a background in advocacy and engagement and a passion for creating holistically inclusive spaces. While completing a Bachelor of Art Theory from UNSW Art & Design, they were the elected Engagement Officer on the Student Council, received an Intern Scholarship with Kudos Gallery and was a part of Brightside Program; an artistic mentoring program that pairs up UNSW students with disengaged and at-risk Sydney youth. They have worked for around five years in various visual arts contexts at many capacities, including communications and marketing, at organisations such as Kaldor Public Art Projects, Carriageworks, Museum of Applied Arts & Sciences and the National Association for the Visual Arts. After. They previously held position of Chair, Board of Directors for Firstdraft gallery. Outside of work, they like to collaborate with their community on art projects and spark conversations.
