On Saturday, 27 Feb, Delta 88 will open its’ doors! Come through for a tour of the studio, free Ableton workshops and pop-ups from local record labels and stores. Meet Delta 88’s studio engineers and musicians from the area.
The engineers:
Chris Hamer-Smith aka Chasm has over a decade of experience in the music industry as a producer, recording artist, engineer and DJ. He has produced two Aria nominated albums with his group Astronomy Class and has produced, remixed and recorded acts, Thundamentals, 360, Hilltop Hoods, DJ Nino Brown, Marvin Priest, Starley, The Bamboos, Elizabeth Rose and Ash Grunwald.
The past few years has seen Chris focussing his attention on co-running a boutique hip hop label, Low Key Source, where he is heavily involved in artist development and managing the Low Key Source recording studio.
Shannon O’Riley is Sydney based audio-engineer who co-founded the Western Sydney based live music initiative House Warming Collective. She has worked with artists such as Halsey, Blacklisted, Nails, Confession, Deez Nuts, Wreath, Cursed Earth, Kublai Khan, Tigers Jaw, The Presets, Camp Cope and many more. She previously headed up the audio department of the Red Rattler Theatre.
