An expansion of the Granville Barbershop program which now includes an alternative to barbering; braiding. The project has been introduced to Fairfield Highschool which is co-ed, so now delivered to boys and girls.
Charles Lomu and Lucy Lomu deliver mentorship and skills development in barbering to selected students. The barbering is not limited to boys only and the braids is not limited to girls only.
Looking ahead beyond COVID-19 restrictions to live in-person gatherings, we are excited to return to hands-on weekly sessions in 2022.
