Granville Barbershop - Information & Cultural Exchange

Granville Barbershop

Following on from a very successful 2018 (Granville Barbershop Term 2, Granville Barbershop Term 3 and Granville Barbershop Term 4), Charles Lomu continues to deliver mentorship and skills development in barbering to selected students from Granville Boys High School.

In 2019 Charles is working with three separate groups of students:

  • New Barbershop students who are learning the fundamentals of barbering
  • Returning Barbershop students who are learning how to set the foundations to take their skills outside of Granville Boys High School and into the world
  • Barbershop student mentors who are working closely with Charles to learn how to become barbering mentors themselves

Every Monday the students head to Room 201 to work on their barbering and customer service skills.

Looking ahead beyond COVID-19 restrictions to live in-person gatherings, we are excited to return to hands-on weekly sessions in 2022.
