i-Maps Parra is a 12-month digital production and community building program that sees recently-settled migrants (particularly women from South and East Asia) creating a suite
of digital maps (with multilingual narratives and settlement information) of the new (and old) Parramatta – its history, highlights and services, for use by new migrants.
Building on I.C.E.’s community connections, partnerships
and digital expertise, the project will enable the ‘instant touch’ exploration of Parramatta through the eyes of mothers and children residing in the city. Digital, accessible and multilingual, i-Maps Parra will be launched in July 2018 as a website to present newly arrived migrants with different journeys of discovering Parramatta.
