A Collective Guide to Self Care in Isolation

A lot of us are changing how we manage and navigate our worlds at the moment and we want to put some ideas together about how to care for ourselves and our communities in this time. We invite you to submit healthy ways that you cope with the uncertainty brought about by this pandemic and by being stuck at home. This could look like a workout routine, a comforting recipe, instructions to make a face mask.

This is a change in routine and habits for many people, but for some people it’s their  way of life. As well as sharing your tips please take a moment to consider that many community members living with disabilities and chronic illnesses experience isolation often. This is an opportunity to listen to people who live with access restrictions. It’s also important to acknowledge that people in incarceration or detention have lockdown forced on them and don’t have the freedom to practice these self-care actions.

You can submit your idea via email to [email protected] or post it on social media and tag us @ice_org_au. We will be compiling these ideas in May. Contributors will receive a fee of $50 for their work.
